Notification for IFS (Indian Forest Service) 2012 exam has been issued by UPSC
UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
Important dates for IFS-2012 exam:
Date of IFS-2012 exam notification:14.04.2012.
Submission of form starts on: 14.04.2012.
Last date to apply for IFS-2012 exam: 14.05.2012 (till 11:59 PM).

Date of IFS-2012 written exam: 14th July 2012.
Eligibility for IFS exam:

Age eligibility: Min: 21 years & Max: 30 years (as on 1st August, 2012)
(DOB not earlier than 2nd August, 1982 and not later than 1st August, 1991)
Age relaxations exists as per Govt. norms.
Academic eligibility:
You need to be a graduate (holding Bachelor’s degree) from a recognized university with at least one of the following fourteen subjects:
Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Botany, Zoology.
Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
If you have already appeared in the qualifying Bachelor’s degree exam and awaiting your results or if you are a final year student, you can appear in IFS exam, subject to passing the same and providing the proof on qualifying the IFS written exam.
You can make maximum of four attempts at the IFS examination.
