     Place of Posting - Any of the Institutes/offices of NPTI in India.at present NPTI  A having its Corporate Office at Faridabad (Haryana) and having its Institutes at Badarpur (New Delhi), Nangal (Punjab), Nagpur (Maharashtra), Durgapur (West Bengal), Guwahati (Assam), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Neyveli (Tamil Nadu) .

    Pay Band/Grade Pay- Rs.15600-39100+6600 Grade Pay, DA (presently 65%) plus other allowances as applicable in the Central Government.

     Eligibility- (i) Officers holding analogous posts or equivalent posts or (ii) Assistant Engineer or officers holding analogous posts with 5years experience in that grade having qualification/experience as indicated in Col.7 under the Central / State Government /

Electricity Boards / Universities / Public Sector Enterprises /Statutory / Semi-Govt. or Autonomous Organisations etc.(The period of deputation/short-term contract including the

period of deputation/contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of Central Govt. shall be not exceeding 4 (four) years).

7. Qualifications /Experience and Job Description- Essential

i) Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution

ii) 5 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of Thermal Power Stations/ Workshop in Engineering industry or institution or 5 years experience in powersector/teaching holding post not below the rank of Assistant Engineer or equivalent Desirable 
i) Aptitude for training

Job Description :

i) Teaching B.Tech./PGDC and other courses/ training programme.

ii) Preparation of course material and to function as faculty for imparting training to the engineering personnel and to coordinate training programs in different areas of power sector.

iii) Procurement,  Installation,  Commissioning  and maintenance of equipment and development of training aids/laboratories and workshops, consultancy jobs etc.
